LUCENA CITY, Quezon (PIA)— The  Bureau of Jail Management And Penology (BJMP) Quezon Province was awarded as BJMP CALABARZON’s Best Jail Provincial Administrator’s Office for the 3rd Quarter during the Warden’s Conference on November 28 at Playa Montaña Beach Hotel, Sitio Malao, Brgy. Pagkilatan, Lobo, Batangas.

Also awarded was Jail Superintendent Jack Lord B. Cariño as Best Provincial Jail Administrator for the 3rd Quarter. Cariño is also the concurrent Provincial Jail Administrator of BJMP Batangas Province.

Meanwhile, BJMP Quezon Provincial Community Relations Service Officer, Jail Officer 2 Joefrie B. Anglo bagged the Best CRS Officer of the Year Award in the recent Annual Regional Jail Service Recognition Day dubbed Gawad Penolohiya held at the Conference Hall of BJMP Regional Office CALABARZON in Brgy. Turbina, Calamba City, Laguna last November 28.

It was Anglo’s third time to receive the same recognition since 2020.

“I encourage all jail officers to act also as Community Relations Service Officers (CRSO’s) to be able to create harmonious and effective jail-community partnership in the maintenance of public order and safety, and be part of a Calabarzon BJMP that is dedicated and committed towards their sworn duties of safekeeping and development of persons deprived of liberty,” Anglo said.

Officials of the BJMP Regional Office CALABARZON led by Jail Chief Superintendent Arnel S. Gongona, regional director, awarded the said commissioned and non-commissioned personnel to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology’s campaign to change lives and build a safer nation.

Gongona also enjoined the men and women of BJMP CALABARZON to continue working with the same zeal towards the attainment of the Jail Bureau’s programs and thrust.
