TRECE MARTIRES, CAVITE (PIA) – The Provincial Government of Cavite (PGC) in collaboration with the Department of Tourism Region IV-A, the Provincial Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office successfully held the 2022 Tourism Summit – Cavite Tourism Excellence Awards on December 15, 2022 at Microtel by Wyndham, Eagle Ridge in General Trias City.

Opening the program, City Administrator Attorney Donna Mae Tiongson-Jordan welcomed the guests and awardees while Provincial Tourism Officer Rozelle Sangalang delivered a congratulatory message on behalf of Cavite Governor Juanito Victor C. Remulla.

In her video message, Department of Tourism Secretary Attorney Christina Garcia-Frasco signified a more vibrant tourism in the coming years with programs focused on connectivity and equality among tourism stakeholders.

Tourism stakeholders such as LGUs, Cavite Tourism Officers, Travel and Tours Association, and Cultural Arts Performing Groups were recognized for their invaluable contributions to the development of tourism and culture in the province.

Governor Remulla believes and remains steadfast in acknowledging the endeavors, excellence, and resilience of the tourism industry partners that highly contributed in the growth of the province’s economy.

Meanwhile, DOT Regional Director Marites T. Castro showed support by providing additional tokens to awardees and sent a message through the Tourism Industry Skills Program Division Head Keneth Degracia to honor the attendees. (Ruel Francisco, PIA-Cavite with reports from Provincial Tourism Office)
