ZAMBOANGA CITY, Dec. 19 (PIA) – The Department of Health 9 (DOH-9) reports the continues decrease of COVID-19 cases in Zamboanga Peninsula with only 324 cases recorded as of December 15, 2022.

However, despite the decrease in cases, the residents should still be compliant in following the minimum public health standards and get vaccinated, “we must learn to live with COVID,” Dr. Elshazly added.
DOH continuously advises the residents not to be too confident in going to public and crowded places especially this holiday season and attending to different occasions, “we are still fighting the unknown COVID-19 because of natural emerging variant,” Dr. Elshazly emphasized.
There are still potential immune characteristics with high number of mutations. However, having the booster vaccination can help fight the mutation and boost immune systems. Booster vaccination is still available in health centers and vaccination centers identified.
