ILAGAWE, Ifugao (PIA) - - The disaster preparedness and response of the province including the 11 municipalities gets a boost with the turn-over of additional tools and equipment recently.

The 11 Municipal Local Government Units (MLGU) and the provincial government received disaster risk reduction management tools and equipment under the Touch of Life-Disaster Training and Equipment Assistance Project (DTEAP) in a ceremony at the Banaue Hotel recently.

The beneficiaries each received one portable generator and power supply with solar panel, heavy-duty hand tool and two collapsible tents.

 The DTEAP was initiated by Senator Francis Tolentino that aims to assist 266 provinces, cities, and municipalities to institutionalize their respective Incident Command System.

The turn over ceremony was attended by local chief executives, Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officers, and other DRRM stakeholders. (JDP/MBL- PIA CAR, Ifugao)
