ROSALES, Pangasinan (PIA) – The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) distributed land titles and farm machineries and equipment as well as farm inputs to Pangasinan agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) during the awarding ceremony held at the Conrado Estrella Sr. covered court here on Wednesday.
DAR Secretary Conrado Estrella III said some 563 ARBs from six municipalities and one city in Pangasinan received their land titles comprising a total area of 216 hectares of agricultural lands while 640 ARBs from 18 organizations in the province received a combined P8.67 million worth of farm machineries and equipment and farm inputs.
Estrella said the activity, which is in line with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to improve the agricultural sector in the countryside, aims to boost the lives of the farmers in Region 1.
ARBs received certificates of land ownership award (CLOAs), emancipation patents (EPs) and computerized titles (c-Titles), while farm machineries and equipment and farm inputs were distributed under the Climate Resilient Farm Productivity Support (CRFPS), Linking Smallholder Farmers to Markets and Microfinance (LinkSFarMM), and Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) program of the department.
Estrella assured that the department will continuously provide various support services to ARBs and bring government services closer to them.
“Sa mga susunod na taon, makakaasa po kayo na pupuntahan kayo (ARBs) ng DAR as we bring government closer to the people,” said Estrella, stressing that they will do this to know from the farmers what specific support services they need to make their farming more productive in order to improve their lives.
Estrella led the issuance of land titles to ARBs from municipalities of Sto. Tomas, Tayug, Balungao, Mangatarem, Bolinao, Burgos, and Urdaneta City.
