Antiqueños can now avail of PhilHealth KonSulTa

SAN JOSE, Antique (PIA) - -  The PhilHealth Konsultang Sulit at Tama (KonSulTa) Package is now open in 27 health facilities in Antique.

PhilHealth Antique Chief Local Health Insurance Officer Junie C. Sabusap, in a forum with local media, lauded the support of the local officials in the implementation of the Universal Health Care Law which is instrumental in the accreditation of these health facilities.

These health facilities are the Culasi District Hospital, Angel Salazar Memorial General Hospital, Pres. Diosdado Macapagal District Hospital, Bugasong Medicare Community Hospital, Sebaste Community Hospital, Justice Calizto O. Zaldivar Memorial Hospital, Valderrama Municipal Hospital, Pedro L. Gindap Municipal Hospital and Ramon Maza Memorial District Hospital

For the rural health units (RHUs), all the municipalities in the province are accredited by PhilHealth, thus, the patients can now seek consultation with any RHU here.

Among the services available at the health center are consultations and case management, provision of preventive health services, assistance in accessing services in subcontracted or partner facilities and referral to specialty and a higher level of care.

Laboratory examinations are also covered under KonSulTa Packages based on a doctor’s prescription such as basic blood chemistry tests, chest x-ray and electrocardiography, among other examinations.

With the full implementation of Universal Health Care law,  PhilHealth 6 Planning Officer Michael Avelino emphasized during the forum that every Filipino shall be granted immediate eligibility and access to preventive, promotive, curative, rehabilitative, and palliative care in government and accredited private health facilities.

The latest count of population coverage for the province is 519,037 or 83.34 percent of the projected 622,828 population.  The total population of Antique in May 2020 census of population is 612,974.

PhilHealth Antique recently gathered local media in a forum dubbed "Media Pasasalamat" to discuss the recent updates on the implementation of PhilHealth programs and services.

Among the top PhilHealth 6 officials who attended the activity, which was facilitated  by Informtiation Officer Liza Joyce Q. Songcayawo, were PhilHealth 6 Information Officer Janimhe C Jalbuna and Benefit Administration Section head Dr. Rodalyn Lagalangan. (JBG/PSM/PIA-Antique)
