Sindol congratulated the personnel in their new assignments and thanked them for their services in their previous assignments. She also called on the officers to continue to be good leaders.

"Being leaders who are expected to steer our constituents to greater height, we must become a government with leadership that commands respect,” Sindol said.

She also reminded the officers and personnel to always remember and live by the BJMP core values and the development roadmap to improve jail administration and care of persons deprived of liberty (PDLs).

“Alalahanin natin lagi at isabuhay ang ating bagong core values mula sa ating J.A.I.L. Plan 2040, ‘makatao-respect for humanity, may integridad-with integrity, at matatag-resiliency’. May we earnestly serve the Bureau by displaying these values with commitment,” she added.

J.A.I.L which stands for Journey for Advancement, Innovation, and Long-term Development Plan 2040   is the 20 year roadmap of the BJMP towards achieving its desired breakthrough results of becoming a world-class agency and a premiere safekeeping and welfare institution for PDLs, highly regarded by the community for its professional, capable, efficient, and credible organization by 2040.

The BJMP also created the Center for Jail Excellence and Strategy Management to coordinate and integrate the J.A.I.L. Plan 2040, and to sustain the execution, management, monitoring, and institutionalization of the agency scorecard. The BJMP scorecard is a strategic management performance metric that will aid in improving the Bureau’s internal operations to achieve desired outcomes.

The BJMP National Advisory Council was also created to support the implementation of the J.A.I.L. Plan 2040. (JDP/RMC- PIA CAR) (BJMP-CAR photos)
