PNP Chief leads groundbreaking for community police assistance center in La Union

SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union (PIA) — Philippine National Police (PNP) chief PGen. Rodolfo Azurin, Jr led the groundbreaking ceremony for the Community Police Assistance Center (COMPAC) in Pugo, La Union on Jan.13.

“The construction of COMPAC represents an important investment especially in the safety and well-being of our community,” said Azurin.

The soon-to-rise PNP satellite station is a two-storey building with a floor area of 160 sqm and a total lot area of 200 sqm. 

PGen Rodolfo Azurin, Philippine National Police (PNP) chief, marks the establishment of the community police assistance center in Pugo, La Union on January 12.

Once finished, the building will have two custodial facilities, two billeting rooms, an office, a kitchen, and a multi-purpose room. 

“I hope that the municipality of Pugo will soon rise as the major center for quick and immediate action or response in any emergency situation in the province of La Union,” said Azurin. 

He added, “Looking ahead, I am confident that this community police action building will serve its purpose for many years to come.”

Meanwhile, Kurt Walter Martin, municipal mayor of the town extends his gratitude for the support of PNP in providing police visibility in the community.

Kurt Walter Martin expresses his gratitude to the Philippine National Police for the construction of community police assistance center which will be situated in Pugo, La Union during the groundbreaking ceremony held on January 12.

“Taos puso po akong nagpapasalamat sa blessing po, ito rin po ang magsisilbing partnership ng PNP at ng LGU,” said Martin.
