100 learners receive tablets from DICT, Solon

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) - - At least 100 learners from the four municipalities of Isabela received a tablet each from the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) in partnership with the Office of Representative Joseph Tan of the 4th Congressional District of Isabela. 

Tan and DICT Regional Director Reynaldo Sy, DepEd Isabela Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Madelyn Macalling and SICAT Vocational School Superintendent Danilo Pacis led the distribution at the Southern Isabela College of Arts and Trades (SICAT) in Santiago City.

Director Sy said the distribution of the gadgets is in support to DICT's Project CLICK or Courses for Literacy in Internet and Computer Knowledge which aims to fill the digital technology learning gaps and to capacitate the learners on digital skills.

Sy said that the DICT will also be conducting orientation and training relative to cyber threats and cyber safety to the recipients to ensure proper use of the gadgets.

The beneficiaries are studying at Cordon Central School, Jones Central School, San Agustin Central School and Dinapigue Central School. (OTB/MGE / PIA Isabela)
