Gingoog LGU, Sen. Bong Go turnover new 4-story CCGC Building

GINGOOG CITY, Misamis Oriental (PIA)--To further boost Gingoog City’s public education capabilities and provide quality safe learning experiences for learners, the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Gingoog City, 1st District Misamis Oriental Congressman Christian Unabia, and Senator Christopher Lawrence "Bong" Go held its official turn over of its newly finished Community College of Gingoog City (CCGC) 4-story building, January 19.

"This is a dream come true of all Gingoogons, kaniadto nagdamgo lang ta na unta dinhing dapita aduna'y matukod nga eskwelahan, apan ang atong mga lideres naningkamot way back in 2019 when we assumed office," Gingoog City Erick Cañosa said.

(This is a dream come true for all Gingoogons, we used to dream that a school would be built in this place, so our leaders tried way back in 2019 when we assumed office)

Funded by Senator Bong Go through the initiative of 1st District Misamis Oriental Congressman Christian Unabia, the new 4-story building of CCGC features 12 classrooms that will be used as lecture rooms, main hall (multipurpose hall) for the school's activities, faculty rooms, and commercial spaces on the ground floor with an estimated value of P55 million. 

In addition to the building, Unabia said they are also working toward establishing another building, a sports complex, an oval, and a dormitory.

Go, through the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)-10’s Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) program also provided educational assistance to the 750 students of CCGC alongside grocery packs, vitamins, face masks, 100 basketballs, and 100 volleyballs from his office.

"Isa sa ako concern sa kabatan-onan kay ilayo sa ilegal nga droga, hangyo lang ko sa inyo nga ayaw ninyo sayanga ang gisugdan ni President Duterte na labanan ang ilegal nga droga and kriminalidad," Go said.
