Agta residents benefit from community outreach program in Ilagan

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) - - At least 40 individuals who belong to the indigenous Agta community recently benefitted from the Community Outreach Program of the City of Ilagan Police Office.

The  outreach program of the city police station aims to bring its humanitarian services in order to help indigent people.

The outreach  was led by City of Ilagan Police Station Chief Lt. Col. Lord Wilson Adorio through, Cpt. Teresito Calimpusan Jr., deputy chief for administration and was also attended by members of the Class 2021-04 “MAHIMDALIB” of Regional Training School of the Police Regional Office-2.

The team was also accompanied by officers and members of the Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo (KKDAT) City of Ilagan Chapter, Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team (BPATS) and barangay officials of Cabisera 10.

The team also brought food packs and assorted vitamins, which were distributed to the Agta.

Lectures on anti-terrorism, Republic Act 9262 or Anti - Violence Against Women and Children and Children Act of 2004  were also conducted during the activity.

A bamboo tree planting activity was also held in the said barangay, which was participated by the community folk, police, and the barangay officials of Cabisera 10. (MGE/PIA Isabela)
