CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) - - At least 300 senior citizens and Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) have benefitted from the free medical mission and gift-giving activity of the local government unit (LGU) of Cabagan as part of its  patronal and town fiesta.

Aside from the free medical mission and gift-giving, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) - Isabela also discussed the privileges of senior citizens (SCs) under Republic Act 9994 and PWDs under Republic Act 7277.

DTI Isabela Consumer Protection Division chief Elmer Agorto said SCs and PWDs should not be timid to avail the discounts and other privileges accorded for them as the DTI rep ensures that they will closely coordinate with the DSWD, Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs and the Persons With Disability Affairs Office.

Agorto said the DTI Isabela will be conducting series of activities in various municipalities of the province to strenghten its advocacy on the privileges and benefits of SCs and PWDs. (MDCT/MGE/PIA Isabela)
