TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan (PIA) - - A member of Anakpawis and two supporters recently surrendered to the three different Municipal Police Stations in this province on January 21.

The three are identified as alias ‘Nena’, 54, and resident of Amulung town; alias ‘Joey’, 43, farmer and resident of Allacapan town; and alias ‘Ben’, 27 and resident of Gattaran town.

Alias ‘Nena’ revealed that she joined the group in 2016 and decided to leave the group in 2019.

On the other hand, alias ‘Joey’ shared that he has been supporting the Communist Terrorist Groups (CTGs) since 2007 by means of welcoming them in their house and providing them food.

He also revealed that he became ‘pasabilis’ or runner of the CTGs but he decided to stop supporting them in 2018.

Meanwhile, alias ‘Ben’ shared that he was convinced to join the CTG in 2007 and also became ‘pasabilis’in their barangay.

After knowing that the members of the CTGs is also using him, he also decided to cut ties with them.

With the continuous efforts of the Cagayan Police Provincial Office through various advocacy campaigns, the three surrendered to the Amulung, Allacapan and Gattaran Municipal Police Stations and pledged to manifest their support in the campaign against insurgency in the province of Cagayan.
