21 Pinoy high school students join JENESYS program

QUEZON CITY, (PIA) –Some 21 Filipino High School students wrapped up the Japan-Philippines High School Student Exchange Program (Japanese Language Learners).

The 21 participants learned about Japanese Culture and Language through various activities and immersion.

They visited the Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum, Gotokuji Temple, and had Japanese language classes in Tokyo.

They also interacted with Japanese high school students and visited Japanese families during their stay in Hachinohe City, Aomori Prefecture.

During their reporting session, the participants showcased their Barong Tagalogs and Filipinianas while they share their beautiful experiences in Japan.

JENESYS program was launched in 2007 that operated under non-governmental implementing agencies.

It fosters cultural connections between Japan and other East Asian countries including the Philippines.

Since its establishment, more than 4,000 Filipino students have participated in the program. (pia-ncr with details from the Embassy of Japan PH)
