CAPAS, Tarlac (PIA) -- Major General Facundo Palafox IV assumed as the full-time commander of the Armor Division.
He served as the division’s acting commander in November 2022 after Lieutenant General Efren Baluyot was appointed commander of the Armed Forces of the Philippines Southern Luzon Command.
Palafox assured his commitment to the Armor Division team in producing and developing professional and competent Army officers.
“I will carefully and judiciously lead this division, its personnel, and all its resources and elevate the unit towards much greater heights to provide the needed armor capability in defeating the threats confronting the peace and security of our country,” he pledged.
Army Commanding General Lieutenant General Romeo Brawner Jr., who led the Assumption Ceremony, commended the efforts of Palafox and Baluyot for the changes they have implemented leading to a more professional and advanced Armor Division.
He reminded members of the Armor Division to work hand in hand as they move to sustain the accomplishments of the organization.
“May I request our officers and enlisted personnel of the Pambato Division to continue working hard and working towards excellence,” Brawner said.
Palafox previously served as the Armor Division Assistant Commander and led several units including the 2nd Mechanized Infantry Brigade, the Civil Military Operations Regiment, and the Chief of Staff for Army’s Civil-Military Operations.
He is a member of the Philippine Military Academy “Bigkis-Lahi” Class of 1990. (CLJD/GLSB-PIA 3)
