CAGAYAN DE ORO (PIA)--Minors as young as 15 years old may now register to vote for the SK elections while regular voters aged 18 years old and above will qualify for the barangay elections on October 30, said the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) in Talakayan sa PIA, media forum at SM CDO Downtown Premier.

As of January 23, only 11,514 have registered from the 19,000 target voting population, Elections Officer Atty. Ramil Acol shared.

“That is the objective of COMELEC to have a substantial number of voters na marehistro nato. In fact ang atong chairman is personally, nag ikot-ikot siya sa tibuok Pilipinas to drum up support,” COMELEC Regional Executive Director Lawyer Renato Magbutay said.
