The award is in appreciation for the outstanding efforts of the agency amid the Covid-19 Pandemic and for being partners in health promotion.
The DOH Bicol CHD presented plaques of appreciation to PIA Bicol OIC and Sorsogon ICM Benilda Recebido, PIA Albay ICM Sally Altea, PIA Camarines Norte ICM Rosalita Manlangit, PIA Camarines Sur ICM Ana-Liza Macatangay, PIA Catanduanes ICM Edna Bagadiong, and PIA Masbate ICM Ernesto Delgado.
Similar plaques were also given to PIA regional and provincial personnel, namely, Marlon Atun, Danica Caballero, Keren Bernadas and former PIA 5 Multimedia assistant Niño Luces.
With the theme “Pagkaburunyog para sa Salud nin Kagabsan”, the annual event gathers all local health implementers to recognize and appreciate their exemplary practices towards the nation’s realization of the Universal Health Care.
Present in the event were DOH Usec. Nestor F. Santiago Jr., Director IV of Health Facility Development Bureau of DOH Central Office Dr. Ma. Theresa G. Vera, DOH-5 Regional Director Dr. Ernie V. Vera, and DOH-5 Assistant Regional Director Dr. Ferchito L. Avelino, DOH officials, governors, mayors, representatives of Local Government Units, National Government Agencies, Faith-Based Organizations, media, and other health partners.
“The event hopes to encourage LGUs and other health partners to continuously implement health programs and improve the delivery of accessible, equitable, and quality health services,” said Vera, DOH-5 director.
Moreover, special awards were awarded to the various LGUs, health facilities, media partners, and other stakeholders for each of their specific health program accomplishments. (PIA)
