340 Solano TUPAD workers get pay from DOLE

SOLANO, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) - - The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) here has released salaries of workers under the  Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program.

DOLE-Nueva Vizcaya Field Office Provincial Director Elizabeth  Martinez said they have released the emergency salaries of the TUPAD workers amounting to  P1,360,000 during the payout at the Tomas Dacayo Community Center in Barangay Poblacion North here.

“The payout was the result of a collaboration among the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Solano, the AGRI Party-List of Solano and the DOLE -Nueva Vizcaya Field Office,” she said.

Martinez said the TUPAD beneficiaries rendered ten days of community service within their community neighborhood by  constructing communal gardens, sanitizing public spaces and improving tourist attractions.

She said more TUPAD program opportunities await the workers this year as she assured DOLE’s continuing program for the displaced workers.

The TUPAD payout was attended by DOLE Assistant Regional Director Jesus Elpidio  Atal, Jr., representing DOLE Regional Director Joel  Gonzales, Vice Mayor Eddie Tiongson, Rep.  Wilbert  Lee of Agri Party List and LGU Solano PESO Manager Mharielle C. Paraiso. (OTB/BME/PIA NVizcaya)
