ROXAS CITY, Capiz (PIA) -- Capiz vice-governor Jaime 'Mitang' O. Magbanua has conveyed his support to the Philippine Information Agency-led Capiz Association of Government Public Information Officers (CAGPIO).

"I am surprised to know this network of information officers coming together to communicate government programs, activities and updates," Magbanua said during the group's meeting, Jan. 26, at the new office site of the PIA Capiz Information Center (InfoCen) in the Capiz Government and Business Center, here. 

CAGPIO is a PIA - supervised network of PIOs from the national government agencies, local government units, some provincial government frontline departments and Government - Owned and Controlled Corporations, among others. 

The association's new set of officers for 2023 to 2024 is led by Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Office of the Provincial Election Supervisor PIO and Panay Municipal Election Supervisor Ruthche M. Calixterio as CAGPIO president. 

The network has about 60 active members who also serve as information multipliers provincewide. (JBG/AAL/PIA Capiz)
