Julius Emperador, chief provincial statistical specialist, said that Civil Registration Month is annually observed to create awareness to the public on the importance of civil registration like birth, marriage, death and other vital statistics.
The theme for this year’s celebration is PSA @10: “Providing Efficient and Effective Civil Registration and Vital Statistics through Digital Transformation.”
Emperador said that the PSA is mandated to implement strategies to improve birth, marriages and death registration using the cutting edge technology to deliver quality civil registration products and services as well as generate and disseminate accurate and quality vital statistics.
“On the first day of February which is the start of Civil Registration month celebration, we have conducted reporting of the status of Civil Registration submission and discussion on various memoranda and concerns addressing civil registration issues and the Philsys Birth Registration Assistance Project (PBRAP),” Emperador said.
