AMULUNG, Cagayan (PIA) - - A temporary steel bridge that spans the Cagayan River in this town was already opened and made accessible to the public and light vehicles.
The steel bridge which connects Amulung East to Amulung West was through the initiative of 3rd district Representative Joseph "Jojo" Lara.
The temporary bridge will serve a dual purpose, for accessibility to the public, especially the farmers and the students, and for the heavy equipment being utilized in constructing the all-weather Amulung main bridge.


"This will not only connect the two sides of the town, but it will also connect the dreams of everyone here in Amulung to reach their goals in life. This will shorten the travel time of the people in going to and from the inner side of Amulung," Lara said.

For a very long time, the people of Amulung use boats to ferry their goods and the students studying in the eastern schools.
Aside from this, a multipurpose building and evacuation center was also inaugurated in Barangay Abolo, this town.
Officials and residents of the barangay expressed their gratitude to the solon for initiating the construction of the said covered building which will now serve as their shield during barangay activities.
Rep. Lara was joined by his wife Dr. Zarah Lara, Vice Governor Melvin Vargas Jr, Board Members Rosauro Resuello and Leonides Fausto, Mayor Elpidio Rendon and other local officials. (OTB/PIA Region 2)
