Barlig hospital opens new wards

BONTOC, Mountain Province (PIA)-- Better health services are expected at the Barlig District Hospital (BaDH) with the recent turnover of the finished wards of its extension building.

Governor Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr.  led the ribbon cutting   for the opening of the first-floor wards and turned over the key of responsibility to BaDH Chief of Hospital Janice Ann M. Sepulchre on January 25.

The wards are expected to decongest the administrative building of the hospital which is being utilized at the moment.

Provincial Health Officer II Annie Claire B. Pekas challenged the employees to level up their service delivery to justify the physical improvements and developments of the health facility.

"I encourage each and every one nga nu kas anu ay gumag awis nan buildings taku, amed taku kuma ages gumawis isnan ikan taku ay men serbi isnan kakailiyan taku," she said.

The building is funded by the provincial local government unit and DOH under its Health Enhancement Program to improve public health facilities.

The Governor   assured that despite the cutdown on the province’s Internal Revenue Allotment, funds will be allocated for they believe that more patients will be served once the whole building is completed. This was seconded by Vice Governor Francis O. Tauli.

Barlig Vice Mayor  Delio Focad thanked the PLGU, the DOH and all other benefactors for closely working together for the completion of the   building for better services. (JDP/ VJLT-PIA Mt. Province)
