LAGAWE, Ifugao (PIA) - - The local government unit of Lagawe through the Office of the Municipal Mayor in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) initiated a food fair for local entrepreneurs to help them market their products and recover from the effects of the COVID 19 pandemic.
Mayor Martin Habawel Jr. and DTI-Ifugao Officer-In-Charge Imelda Kimayong led on Monday the untying of the ribbon to formally open the “Poh-hochan (love) Valentine’s Food Fair that will run for the month of February.
Dozens of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) engaged in food processing and production are participating in the event at the municipal hall compound, near the public plaza
“Let’s support the programs and services of the LGU particularly this food fair that will assist MSMEs recover from their losses during the pandemic that caused lockdowns in the municipality,” Habawel said.
“We hope that through legislation, this will become a regular event in the future of the municipal government like the Christmas Bazaar,” the mayor added.
Kimayong also thanked the LGU for organizing the food fair that will help MSMEs market their products, and eventually will also create jobs for the community. (JDP/MBL- PIA CAR, Ifugao)
