Marawi Compensation Board vows equal treatment for payment claimants

MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)--Hearing the pleas and agonies of each affected individual during the warfare in 2017, the Marawi Compensation Board promised that it would render a just and equitable service to all concerned internally displaced persons (IDPs) and other victims of the historical tragedy.

Lawyer Maisara Dandamun-Latiph, who is in charge of the board, promised that they would work hard on each claim to make sure that only those who are entitled to compensation get it.

She assured me that this would be pursued with equal treatment and with no time wasted.

"Makasisigurado kayo na pantay-pantay ang aming gagawing proceso, at mabilisan at agaran (you can guarantee that we will have a fair, quick, and immediate process)," Latiph said.

The board chief likewise stressed that they would heed the concerns addressed in their office.

This, with their assurance that they will coordinate closely with relevant government agencies, non-government organizations, and civil society organizations so that together, they can carry out their mission.

"Kailangan namin talaga ang sama-samang suporta ng lahat ng stakeholders dito sa Marawi compensation (We really need the unified support of all stakeholders here for the Marawi compensation)," said Latiph. (CRG/PIA-10/Lanao del Sur)
