Over 300 Iloilo farmers to receive land titles

ILOILO CITY (PIA) - - More than 300 farmer beneficiaries from Passi City and the different towns of Iloilo will receive their Emancipation Patents (EPs) and Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOAs) this Friday, Feb. 17.

Department of Agrarian Reform Secretary Conrado M. Estrella III will lead the distribution to be held at the City of Passi Arena (COPA).

Estrella will also turnover farm machineries and equipment such as rice threshers and corn combine harvesters to identified Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries’ Organizations (ARBOs) under the Sustainable and Resilient Agrarian Reform Communities (SuRe-ARCs)/Climate Resilient Farm Productivity Support Projects (CRFPSPs) of the agency.

He will likewise hand over support services that include organic fertilizer and tissue culture facility warehouse to agrarian reform beneficiaries and their organization.

A ceremonial groundbreaking for the construction of a farm to market road (FMR) project in Brgy. Mambiranan-Grande, Passi City will also be held at the COPA.

After the events in Passi City, Estrella will proceed to Cabiluan, Barotac Nuevo and PD Monfort North, Dumangas for the groundbreaking of FMR projects in these villages.

Estrella will be joined by DAR Usec. Jesry Palmares and other DAR officials including DAR VI Regional Director Sheila B. Enciso during the activities. Also, 4th District Representative Ferjenel Biron, Gov. Arthur Defensor, Jr. and other local officials are expected to attend the said activities.
