BAGUIO CITY (PIA) -- President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is set to grace the 2023 Philippine Military (PMA) Alumni Homecoming on Saturday (Feb. 18) at Fort del Pilar, Baguio City.
The President is attending the event for the first time as the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
The theme of this year's homecoming is "PMA Cavaliers: Sama-sama sa Pag-unland sa Kabila ng Pandemya at Kalamidad".
The Jubilarians this year are Class 1963 (Diamond), Class 1973 (Golden), and Class 1998 (Silver). The Senior Host Class is Class 1993.
During the homecoming event, the PMA Alumni Association Inc. will award Lifetime Achievement awardees, Cavalier awardees, and Pandemic Heroes awardees.
In an interview, PMA Public Information Officer Cpt. Cha Dulay said all alumni of the Academy are invited to attend the homecoming. Those who cannot attend physically may watch the livestreaming of the program, she said.
Dulay said they cannot yet ascertain the number of attendees as the registration will be done on the day itself.
As part of the health and safety protocols, health screening will be imposed. All attendees must be fully vaccinated. They must fill-up and submit COVID-19 Surveillance and Health Declaration Form together with a negative antigen result. Wearing of face mask at all times and physical distancing will also be strictly enforced. (JDP/DEG-PIA CAR)
