TINOC, Ifugao (PIA) –The Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI-CIDSS) of the Department of Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) empowers more poor communities in the province in achieving improved access to basic services.
The DSWD, the municipal local government unit of Tinoc and barangay LGU of Ap-Apid recently turned over two KALAHI-CIDSS sub-projects to beneficiaries of Ap-apid.
These subprojects are the improvement of the Portland Cement Concrete Pavement along Palabayan- Proper Ap- Apid Farm to Market Road (FMR) and improvement of the Palabayan- Proper Ap-Apid FMR.
The more than P500,000 -worth of PPPC improvement subproject was funded from the KALAHI Additional Financing Phase 2 with counterparts from MLGU and BLGU while the FMR with project cost of P684,530 was funded from KALAHI Kapangyarihan at Kaunlaran sa Barangay.
The Kalahi-CIDSS of the DSWD aims to empower barangays and communities of targeted municipalities to achieve improved access to services and to participate in more inclusive local planning, budgeting, and implementation. (JDP/FBR-PIA CAR, Ifugao)
