SAN JOSE, Antique (PIA) - - Antique Vice Governor Edgar Denosta recognized the importance of the information stakeholders in the province to explain to the Antiqueños the programs and services of the government.
He also lauded the efforts of the offices of the Provincial Government of Antique who garnered an award during the PIA6 Information Officers Year-end Conference and Awards.
Particularly mentioned are the Provincial Health Office which earned the citation as 3rd Best in Social Media Infographics, and the Provincial Information Office for managing the Facebook page of the Province of Antique which bagged the 2nd Best FB page award in the region.
He also commended the awardees for Best Performing Information Officers, namely FO3 Vilmarie Pagunsan of the Bureau of Fire Protection and Liza Joyce Q. Songcayawon of PhilHealth.
Denosta also noted that the Office of the Vice Governor has launched an online program in social media to further explain the legislative measures undertaken by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.
Meanwhile, The Philippine Information Agency-Antique Information Center acknowledged the media partners, information officers, local officials and other stakeholders for partnering with PIA in its mandate to disseminate government programs and services.
PIA Antique Infocen Manager Pilar Mabaquiao noted the important contribution of the network of communicators, both from the municipalities and national government agencies, in the delivery of accurate, relevant and timely information to the public.
On the other hand, Provincial Information Office (PIO) head Junlee Saylo shared the accomplishment of his office in providing Antiqueños with access to information on the programs of the provincial government.
