CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro (PIA) – The local government of Bulalacao recently conducted the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Level III Water Supply System Project in partnership with the M.E. SICAT Construction, Inc.
The project will provide a 24-hour continuous supply of potable water to the residents of 11 barangays of the said town.
Mayor Ernilo C. Villas said that by means of this project, the water problem in their town will be alleviated. However, the 24-hour supply of water would apply additional fees on the part of the consumers.
Villas ensured local residents that the local government will provide them with clean and safe water once the project has materialized.
Out of 15 barangays, 11 barangays will be served first, and later on, the upland and island barangays will be the next target of the local government to have the same project.
Villas further said this water system project is one of the big projects that will gradually be implemented aside from the other projects that are already in place like Bulalacao Hospital, Bulalacao Regional Evacuation Center, and Bulalacao Public Market. He said that within this year, there will be a planned groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a new Municipal Hall in their town. (LTC/PIA-OrMin)
