CEBU CITY, Cebu, Feb. 26 (PIA) -- President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos, Jr. will mark his first official visit in Cebu by leading the groundbreaking ceremony of the first phase of the Cebu Bus Rapid Transit (CBRT) project along Osmeña Boulevard on Feb. 27.
The groundbreaking ceremony will be held at the Fuente Osmeña Circle, this city.
The ceremony will officially kick-off the CBRT Project - Civil Works Package 1 for the four stations under Phase 1 of the said project.
It traverses 2.38 kilometers of existing roads from the South Bus Terminal in Natalio Bacalso Avenue to the Cebu Provincial Capitol along Escario St.
The entire project, which costs P16.3 billion, will be fully operational in 2025.
During his visit in Cebu, the president will also lead the groundbreaking ceremony for Cebu City’s Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino Housing (4PH) Project at South Road Properties and lead the distribution of different government services at the Mandaue City Sports and Cultural Complex.
PBBM will also inspect the KADIWA stalls at the Cebu Provincial Capitol Grounds under the “KADIWA ng Pangulo sa Cebu” which is co-organized by the Presidential Management Staff and Department of Agriculture and its attached agencies and the Provincial Government of Cebu.
Expected to join the President are House Speaker Martin Romualdez, Special Assistant to the President Antonio Lagdameo, Jr., Department of Transportation Sec. Jaime Bautista, and Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development Sec. Jose Acuzar. (PIA7)
