ISABELA CITY, Basilan, Feb.27 (PIA) – The local government of Isabela City received on Monday (Feb. 27) the certificate of registration from Veritas Assurance certifying that the management system of LGU-Isabela City has been assessed and registered by Veritas System Quality Certificates conforming to the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.

Brenda Magpantay, the Veritas Assurance Audit Team Leader described this as beginning of a partnership for expanding the culture of quality in institutions of public service.

Meanwhile Mayor  Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman in her message, she urged city hall employees to sustain the merits identified by this recognition in upholding excellence in public service as a platform from which the ideal of a happy and dignified life for all Isabeleños shall emanate. The local chief executive also remarked that the Certification is the realization of the quality policy of the local government unit.

In addition Mayor Turabin-Hataman in her facebook post is delighted to announce that Isabela City under her administration is now ISO 9001:2015 Certified.

“Isabela Basilan to the World! yes, it is with both honor and humility that we announce, we are now ISO 9001:2015 Certified.  Ibig sabihin po nito, ang ating pamamalakad sa ating lokal na pamahalaan ay pumasa at kasing taas po ng mga pinaiiral na pamantayan ng pamamalakad at pamamahala sa buong mundo. Tayo po ay nag pursigi na makamit ito upang masiguro na ang serbisyong ating binibigay, ang ating Quality Management System ay de kalidad at ayon sa international standards. Ito po ay tanda ng ating pagmamahal sa Isabela!Tayo po ang kauna-unahan at nag iisang ISO Certified LGU sa buong Region IX” , she said in her facebook post.

On the part of Sangguniang Panglunsod, Alan Ritchie Luis Biel  City Councilor who represented Vice Mayor Jhul Kifli Salliman, he also highlighted the Sangguniang Panlungsod's role as a ready partner for such endeavor.
