BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) - - The National Irrigation Administration (NIA) has completed two projects that will benefit farmers in Bambang and Ambaguio towns.
Engineer Felipa Sumer of the Nueva Vizcaya Irrigation Management Office (NVIMO) said the P8 million Solar Pump Irrigation Project (SPIP) in barangay Mauan in Bambang town and the P3 million Natebwek Communal Irrigation System (CIS) in barangay Población in Ambaguio have been completed.
“These projects will help our farmers with proper and sufficient irrigation for their plantation that will redound to their sustained income,” she said.
Sumer said the SPIP was turned-over to the members of the Dilan Mauan Irrigators Association, Inc. while the Natabwek CIS was handed to farmers in Ambaguio.
The Natabwek CIS project involves the construction of water tanks and procurement and installation of supply pipes, distribution pipes and pipe fittings and accessories.
The Mauan SPIP covers the construction of diversion works and water tanks, furnishing of solar control housing, delivery and installation of sump well and solar panel, water tanks, pipeline and distribution line.(MDCT/BME/PIA Nueva Vizcaya)
