PDRRMU head lawyer Sheila Artillero received the delivered items in the presence of Capiz Provincial Administrator lawyer Arthur John Biñas, Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO) - Provincial Operation Management Unit chief Lt. Col. Louie Barrientos and Makawiwili Masonic Lodge 55 representatives, among others.

Artillero conveyed the provincial government's appreciation to the OCD and also asked the support of the agency particularly on capacity building activities for the PDRRMU and Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office frontliners.

The OCD has also turned over NFIs for Roxas City.

Nuñez said OCD will continue to provide the needed help especially during disasters and emergencies as it prepositions its logistics for the immediate distribution.

In the aftermath of Severe Tropical Storm "Paeng" which hit the region, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. has lauded the prepositioning of logistics as an important factor in the government’s response during emergencies.

“The effectiveness of prepositioning is clear,”  President Marcos said.

The province was declared under the State of Calamity due to STS - Paeng induced rains which caused flooding and affected 270 of the 473 total barangays in the last quarter of 2022. (JBG/AAL/PIA Capiz)
