DOLE SEnA helps Quirino workers get monetary claims

CABARROGUIS, Quirino (PIA) - - The Department of Labor and Employment – Quirino Field Office (DOLE-QFO) has reported that five workers from various establishments had already received their monetary claims through the DOLE’s Single-Entry Approach (SEnA).

According to Hezelyn Nera, the five workers filed their Request for Assistance (RFA) with the DOLE-QFO for the payment of their wages and cash bond, separation pay, and 13th-month pay amounting to P501,724.97.

Nera said Provincial Director Geraldine B. Labayani, assigned Single Entry Assistance Desk Officer (SEADO) of the Field Office, facilitated the settlement of the workers’ request, facilitating two conferences conducted through virtual platform and face-to-face.

“After some series of negotiations, the parties finally reached an amicable settlement,” Area said.

One of the complaints, a former security guard from Diffun who worked for a security firm in Metro Manila received a total of P276,554.74 as separation money and his unpaid 13th month wage after working for 15 years.

Another security guard from the same town received his long overdue claims worth P160,170.00, which covers his cash bond and separation pay from his firm, which I also located in Manila.

The other three are baristas from a shop in Cabarroguis, Quirino who got paid a total of P65,000.

Nera further said that DOLE-QFO has recorded a 100% settlement rate for labor complaints lodged through SEnA so far for the year. (TCB/PIA Quirino)
