CSPPO PD leads awarding of exemplary personnel as Women Month’s celebration kicks off

CONCEPCION GRANDE, Naga City (PIA) – Under the stewardship of Camarines Sur Police Provincial Office (CSSPO) Provincial Director PCOL Julius Caezar M. Domingo, the entire uniformed men joined women all over the world in honoring Women's Month celebration by kicking it off with an awarding ceremony for policewomen who have done a commendable deed.

Unang una, binabati natin yung ating mga kasamahan na policewomen ng Happy Women's Month. Of course, nagpapasalamat tayo sa naging contribution nila sa pagpapanatili ng katahimikan dito sa ating lalawigan. Gayundin yung awareness na binibigay nila, tulad ng mga seminars na para sa ating mga kababayan,” Domingo said in an interview with the Philippine Information Agency-Camarines Sur.

In a simple yet momentous event held on March 6, Monday at the CSPPO parade ground, Concepcion Grande, here, various policewomen coming from different Municipal Police Stations (MPS) were given commendations for their laudable efforts which collectively contributed to the efficiency and successful accomplishments of their respective areas of jurisdiction.

WCPD Awardees

The recipients were selected based on the merit of the VAWC cases filed, which, according to the PNP's defined criteria, went beyond the requirements for the efficient implementation of the police programs and thrusts.

Awardees from the Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) include PCpl Joan G. Perras of Buhi MPS; PSSg Mary Anne V. Parado of Pili MPS; PSSg Rosa Fe H. Mediario of Calabanga MPS; PSSg Junela P. Atacador of Pasacao MPS; PSSg Francia A. Viñas of Minalabac MPS and PCpl Vanessa Cherry Ann P. Faller of Sipocot MPS.

Out of the 27 cases received by WPCD Buhi from January 2022 to February 28 of this year, 24 cases including VAC and VAW were completed, earning it the title of Best WCPD.

With 22 VAWC lawsuits filed in court, Pili MPS took the top spot for having the most cases submitted during the same period, followed by Calabanga and Pasacao MPS with 19 VAWC cases each filed from February of this year through 2022. With 17 cases filed at the same time, MPS Minalabac and Sipocot shared the third spot.

Family Juvenile Gender and Development Office (FJGAD) awardees

PSSg Rowena G. Requinta of Goa MPS received a certificate of commendation for achieving the highest FJGAD performance evaluation rating for the period of March 2022 to February 2023, totaling 99.62 points. With a performance rating of 99.56%, FJGAD PNCO PSSg Gina Oliveros of Nabua MPS placed second while FJGAD PNCO PSSg Benilda S. Galvez of Pili MPS grabbed third place.

FINANCE Awardees

PCOL Domingo also led the presentation of certificates of commendation to the Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) and seven female MPS employees for their outstanding performance, steadfast commitment to duty, and high sense of responsibility as finance PNCOs.

PSSg Rosalinith Ann Villareal Reginaldo of Buhi MPS, PMSg Marife Palo Monge of Baao MPS, PSSg Rhudelyn P. Olianes of Pili MPS, PCpl Jeka P. Moreno of San Jose MPS, PSSg Jennifer C. Gutierrez of Camaligan MPS; PSSg Maricor C. Tordilla of Ragay MPS and PCpl Celeste M. Bon of the 1st PMFC, all garnered 100% total points earned during the UPER-Unit Performance Evaluation Rating/ ICER-Individual Commanders Evaluation Rating covering the period Dec. 2022 to February 2023.   

Domingo acknowledged the great role and immense contribution of women in nation-building. He said that everyone should have an active role in creating a more inclusive and equitable society as embodied in the theme “WE for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society.”

“Napakalaki at napakahalaga ng role ng ating mga kababaihan dito sa ating lalawigan. Muli po, Happy Women's Month po sa inyong lahat!” Domingo stated.

In closing, the event’s master of ceremony, PSSg Gerald A. Corporal read G.D. Anderson’s adage which states that “Feminism isn’t about making women strong. Women are already strong. It’s about changing the way the world perceives that strength.”  (PIA 5/Camarines Sur)
