Under the Anti-Criminality Program, these new projects are: a) Project ADORE Peace (Anti-Illegal Drugs Operations through Reinforcement and Education) that aims to compensate people who can give information on those individuals who are in possession of loose firearms and those who are under the drug watchlist, b) Project POSTE (Police Outpost on the Street for Traffic Direction, Control, and Quick Emergency) to speed up the response of police to incidents or street crimes in La Union, c) procurement of radio repeaters to ensure clearer interactions and wider coverage of information dissemination, additional procurement of office supplies for the operations of peace and order of the province, and d) the sniper course in which officers and personnel are trained to act and prevent incidents such as hostage-taking in the province.

While in Public Safety, LUPPO has presented the Project ALERT (Accessible Long Standing Emergency Response Team) which aims to strengthen the disaster response, and search and rescue assets, and accoutrements of patrollers or procurring additional  equipments like smartphones for the patrollers intended for capturing and documenting traffic related-issues.

According to Police Lt. Col. Rafael Nero of LUPPO, most of their projects are in line with the Project PUSO of Governor Raphaelle Veronica Ortega-David, which stands for People-centered and Driven Governance; Universal Access to Basic Needs; Sustainable and Progressive Economy; Orderly, Sustainable, and resilient Component City, Municipalities and Barangays.

“These projects are in line with your Project PUSO, so we are sustaining your vision to make La Union the heart of agri-tourism in Northern Luzon by 2025," said Nero as he presented to the governor their projects that are already in the pipeline.

LUPPO committed to maintain security and safety of the people, as well as peace and order for the locals and visitors through these projects.  (JCR/MJTAB/KDM/SGR PIA Region 1)
