ZCCT, CSU hold entrep talk on women's int'l day

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan (PIA) - -The Zonta Club of Central Tuguegarao (ZCCT), in partnership the Cagayan State University-College of Business Entrepreneurship and Accountancy (CSU-CBEA) and the Enabling Progress Through Entrepreneurial Actions (ENACTUS) and Campus Gender and Development (GAD, conducted an Entrepreneurship Talk with the theme Empowering Women in Leading Globalization and Entrepreneurship” on March 8.

The activity, in time for the International Women’s Day celebration, aims to empower young women to set their direction towards globalization and entrepreneurship. It also aims to provide knowledge that can potentially pave the career path of future entrepreneurs in the college.

“This includes increased employment opportunities for women in non-traditional sectors, thus, enabling them to earn and control their income,” Annette Pedro, ZCCT Secretary for recording said, who delivered the welcome message on behalf of Club President Marjorie Martin-Chan.

Pedro said this kind of activity is potentially empowering and may contribute to enhancing women's capacity to negotiate their role and status within the household and society,”

Other Club members who also graced the activity held at CSU Andrews Gymnasium include Past Area Director Atty. Mila Catabay-Layugan, Past President Marietta Connie Reyes, CSU-Andrews Campus Executive Officer Theresa B. Dimalanta, Lolita Bernabe and Honey Belle Loyon.

ZCCT is a member of the Zonta International, a global community of more than 29,000 women and men in nearly 1,200 Zonta Clubs in 63 countries.
