BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) - - The Philippine National Police (PNP) in the province recently received new building, firearms,cars and motorcycles, among others as part of its Modernization Program.
Police Brigadier General Percival Rumbaoa, police regional director, led the inauguration of the newly-constructed PNP Type B/C Building in Villaverde town along with provincial and municipal officials.
He also turned-over various logistical resources to the Nueva Vizcaya Police Provincial Office (NVPPO) such as newly-acquired 103 assault rifles, two light machineguns, 120 Kevlar Helmets, 37,000 rounds of ammunition, 2 Toyota Hilux vehicles at 15 motorcycles.
Rumbaoa said the logistical resources are part of the PNP’s Modernization Program in the country to improve their anti-criminality and anti-terrorism operations.
“These resources will be used by our policemen to maintain peace and order situation in their respective areas of operation so that our fellow Filipinos will enjoy a peaceful place to live in,” he said.
Rumbaoa was accompanied by Villaverde Mayor Ronelie Valtoribio, Board Member Patricio Dumlao,Jr. And Board Member Edgardo Balgos, representatives of Governor Carlos Padilla and Rep. Luisa Cuaresma respectively and Board Member Eufemia Dacayo. (OTB/BME/PIA NVizcaya)
