CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga (PIA) -- Central Luzon Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (RDRRMC) is now accepting entries for the 2023 Gawad Kalasag (GK) Seal and Special Awards.
 
The GK Seal is a mandatory assessment for provinces, cities and municipalities.
 
Office of Civil Defense (OCD) Regional Director and RDRRMC Chairperson Cesar Idio enjoined Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Councils and Offices (LDRRMCOs) to begin their self-assessment using the GK Seal for LDRRMCO Assessment Tool that can be accessed through https://tinyurl.com/CentralLuzonGK2023.
 
Deadline to complete the assessment together with submission of documents to prove claims (means of verification), and Notarized Omnibus Sworn Statement is on May 12.
 
Meanwhile, qualified for the GK Special Awards are Volunteer Organizations, Peoples Organizations, Local Civil Society Organizations, Local Government Emergency Management and Response Teams, National Government Hospitals, Local Government Hospitals, Higher Educational Institutions, Public Secondary Schools, Public Elementary Schools, Private Organizations, and Private Hospitals.
 
It also covers Heroic Act for individuals and groups (living or posthumous) and Special Recognition for Individuals and Organizations.
 
Entries should be submitted in hard and soft copies (in memory stick/flash drive) at OCD Regional Office 3 and r3.rdrrmc.ocd@gmail.com on or before May 12.
