QUEZON CITY, (PIA)— The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) has partnered with The Inspire Studios for the production of a movie documenting the bravery and sacrifices of Philippine Army Scout Rangers.

The Vice Chief of Staff, AFP (VCSAFP), LtGen Arthur M Cordura PAF, and The Inspire Studios CEO and Producer, Mr. Francis B. Lara Ho, led the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement for the movie project "The Rescue" at the AFP General Headquarters on March 22, 2023.

"The Rescue" is a movie based on the book of the same title by retired Army officer Captain Oliver Almonares PA, and co-author Mr. Philip Fortuno, which features the life story of the Philippine Army Scout Rangers' heroism, bravery, and spiritual transformation as they served the country.

The Inspire Studios CEO, Mr. Lara Ho shared his excitement about doing the project. "The Filipinos have done so much. For me to be able to represent the Armed Forces of the Philippines, the legacy and the greatness of our soldiers, is absolutely an honor," he said.

Meanwhile, the VCSAFP expressed AFP's gratitude to The Inspire Studios, saying that the project is an opportunity to share Filipino soldiers' stories and promote patriotism. "We not only immortalize their deeds but also inform and inspire every Filipino, especially our youth," said the VCSAFP.

"There are many stories to tell. There are many brave men and women who would like to represent the rest of the Filipinos, as a warrior and as a patriot,” the VCSAFP added, as he shared the message of Gen. Andres C Centino PA, the Chief of Staff, AFP.

“It is, therefore, timely and appropriate for the Armed Forces of the Philippines and The Inspire Studios to enter into this Memorandum of Agreement to enable more projects that will document their bravery and sacrifices," Centino added. (afp/pia-ncr/Photos by Sgt Ambay PA, PAOAFP)
