DTI- Ifugao NCs empower beneficiaries thru trainings

 LAGAWE,Ifugao(PIA) --The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Ifugao through its Negosyo Centers (NC) of Lamut and Lagawe conducted  trainings for  its beneficiaries.  

NC Lagawe in partnership with Municipal Agriculture Office conducted Specialty Coffee Processing training for members of Caba Farmers Multi-purpose Cooperative (CFMPC) to enhance their knowledge   on the processes  and requirements of good quality coffee.

DTI- Ifugao and NC- Lamut in partnership with Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) under its Special Training for Employment Program (STEP) also conducted the "Entrepreneurial Mindsetting and Best Game Seminar" at Macario Argueza Farm Learning Site for Agriculture in barangay Lawig.

DTI- Ifugao Specialist Eleanor Saludares and NC- Lamut Business Counsellor oriented the 25 farmer- entrepreneurs   who are  currently enrolled in the Learning Site. 

Said training aims to enable participants to have the proper mindset before starting a business and teach them basic bookkeeping and financial statements that would help them in their business journey.

The TESDA STEP is a community-based specialty training program that addresses the specific skills needs of the communities and promotes on employment through entrepreneurial, self-employment, and service-oriented activities.(JDP/FBR-PIA CAR, Ifugao)
