In a press conference, CSCCI, Inc. Executive Vice President and Cam Sur Business Expo Overall Chairman Kristan Carl E. Malazarte, announced that they will offer free seminars throughout the duration of the expo, which would incur significant expenses if conducted privately.

“We are doing these expos as one of the ways for CSCCI to help the MSMEs in Cam Sur and in the region upgrade their businesses. It’s like -- because we’re bringing a lot of exhibitors from Manila to showcase their products para ma-experience ng mga Bicolano yung ganon na mga products,” Malazarte added.

Malazarte was joined by the six (6) expo chairs during the press conference held at the Villa Caceres Hotel, Magsaysay, Naga City on March 24, Friday.

Next in line is the 2nd Bicol Tourism Expo chaired by Ma. Cecilia M. Magtuto is slated from May 25 to 27; 5th CamSur Construct from June 23 to 24 headed by Engr. Jeffrey Serrano and the 6th Food and Beverage expo chaired by Apple Dy from August 24 to 26.  All of these events will be held at the Capitol Convention Center.

The Regional Youth Entrepreneurship Congress, now in its 9th year will be held at the Iriga City Sports Complex from October 6 to 7.

Malazarte noted that the numerous expos will also provide a variety of services and learning opportunities for participants.

“Sa Agri Summit naman, we have different topics, from crops to livestock, and even on how to avail government loan programs. In the Food and Beverage Expo for those in the restaurant industry or food and beverage industry, like may new creation, how to reduce food waste, costing, ganon,’ Malazarte said.

This year's theme is S.I.M.O.N, which stands for "Scaling with Impact Marketing and Optimized Networks," is inspired by the first name of CSCCI, Inc. President Simon Dy.

” Right after the pandemic, lahat po ng negosyo ay somehow lumiit. So, we have to scale it back up. We have to do it with impact. Otherwise, mapag-iiwanan tayo ulit. So, really we have to optimize the networks – kumbaga we have to do the marketing and the synergy ng iba’t-ibang industry, so that we could pull back, especially employment, and do the things necessary to have more economic activities in CamSur. Kasi, more businesses means more jobs, more income for the people,” this year’s 6th Cam Sur Business Expo Overall Chairman said in closing. (With reports from JMadrid- PIA5-Camarines Sur)
