As of March 23, 2023, NTC recorded the total number of registered SIMs in the country has climbed to 50,462,798. This, however, is only 29.86% of the 168,977,773 existing subscribers in the Philippines.
The Smart Communications Inc. had the greatest number of registrants with 25,770,733, followed by Globe Telecom, Inc. at 20,886,382 and DITO Telecommunity Corp. with 3,805,683.
NTC appealed to concerned LGUs not only to guide and assist their stakeholders in the whole registration process, but also to promote responsible use of SIM cards and to disseminate information about the importance of SIM registration to their constituents.
DITC and NTC continuously remind the public to register only through the official links of PTEs:
· DITO – https://digital.dito.ph/pto/download/app
· GLOBE – new.globe.com.ph/simreg
· SMART – smart.com.ph/simreg or simreg.smart.com.ph
For complaints and concerns related to SIM registration, public may contact NTC’s 24/7 consumer hotline 1682 or DITC’s Complaint Center Hotline 1326. (JAFD/PIA-PMD)
