PIA CamSur ComNet, all set for 1st Serbisyo Caravan in San Jose, Partido

NAGA CITY (PIA) --  The Camarines Sur Communicators Network (CamSur ComNet), with the Philippine Information Agency-Camarines Sur Provincial Office as convenor, will hold its first 'Serbisyo Caravan' on March 28, Tuesday at the San Jose Municipal Cultural Center, Partido, Camarines Sur.

With the theme “Serbisyo kan Gobyerno, Direkta sa Tao,” the Serbisyo Caravan will be participated by twelve (12) National Government Agencies (NGAs) thru their regional and provincial offices, three (3) telecommunications companies and the Consuelo ‘Chito’ Madrigal Foundation (CCMF)-Bicol.

The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) Regional Office, Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)– RDO 66 (Iriga City) Camarines Sur, Department of Agriculture (DA) Regional Office 5, Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Camarines Sur II, Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Camarines Sur, Department of Science and Technology (DOST) V Camarines Sur Provincial Office, and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)- Camarines Sur are all participating in the activity.

Also joining in the event are the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Regional Office V, PhilHealth Local Health Insurance - Camarines Sur Office, Social Security System (SSS) Goa Camarines Sur, and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Camarines Sur.

In addition, the National Telecommunications Commission Regional Office 5 has secured the support of three (3) TelCos - Smart Communications, Globe, and Dito - to aid individuals who have not yet registered their sim cards.

 The Consuelo Chito Madrigal Foundation (CCMF)– Bikol’s Human Resources Office will conduct first level interviews of interested job applicants for the positions of Community Enterprise Development Officer, Finance Officer, and Training and Formation Coordinator 2 aside from discussion regarding their microfinance program.

DAR Camarines Sur II will offer agrarian legal consultation, Land Tenure Security Program orientation and Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Development Sustainability Program orientation. Their personnel will also distribute DARubay and other information material and program fliers.

DICT will help facilitate the onsite membership, registration, and updating of SSS, DA, PhilHealth, BIR, and DTI of San Jose residents. DTI Camarines Sur will offer Negosyo Center Business counseling as well as business consultancy services while DA RO5 will distribute a variety of vegetable seeds, and planting materials, including IEC materials and program flyers and, will conduct RSBSA registration. NIA will also discuss their programs on condonation with affected irrigators and farmers’ organizations. 

BFAR will conduct a demonstration on fish processing and will have food-tasting of locally-produced canned sardines.

San Jose Mayor Jerold B. Peña expressed his full support for the said initiative, citing that the collaborative and joint effort of participating agencies will undoubtedly benefit his constituents.  (PIA 5/Camarines Sur)
