CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) - - The Local Chief Executive of Cauayan City has declared March 30, 2023 as a Special Non-Working Holiday in the city in celebration of its 22nd Cityhood Anniversary.

Cauayan City Mayor Caesar Dy Jr signed Executive Order No. 15, Series of 2023 declaring a special non-working holiday on March 30, 2023.

Dy said that Republic Act 9017 dated February 28, 2001 converted the then Municipality of Cauayan into a component city known as City of Cauayan and was ratified by its residents through a plebiscite held on March 30, 2001.

He said that every 30th of March, the city government observed its city hood anniversary and this year marks its 22nd city hood anniversary.

“It is but fitting and proper that the people of City of Cauayan, Province of Isabela be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies,” Dy said in his order.

Dy urged all Cauayenos to join in the various activities prepared by the city government in celebration of its 22nd cityhood anniversary. (MGE / PIA Isabela)
