BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) - - The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the construction of three infrastructure projects in this town to cater to needs of the villagers and propel economic growth within the municipality.
Wilzon Valdez, DPWH regional public information officer, said these infrastructure projects are the two Multi-Purpose Buildings worth P2 million and P15 million and the P14.8 million Road Dike project.
He said the P15 million Multi-Purpose Building within the public market will cater to the needs of market vendors while the other Multi-Purpose Building worth P2 million in barangay Cabuaan will serve as a venue for various public gatherings and other emergencies.
Valdez said the completed P14.8 million Road Dike Project in barangay District 4 will cater to the improved transportation access of farmers in bringing their products to the market through the concrete roadway and protect villagers from flashflood during rainy season.
He said the Multi-Purpose Building at the public market offers stalls for meat, fish, dairy products, baked goods, coffee, spices, and various specialty and cooked food.
The public market building also provides amenities such as modern restrooms, parking spaces, and a spacious area for vendors and customers.
It also provides a designated area for dining and communal seating, providing a comfortable and welcoming environment for customers.
“The completion of these projects has been met with positive feedback from the local community because of its socio-economic benefits among the villagers and the municipality as a whole,” Valdez said. (OTB/BME/PIA NVizcaya)
