Besao MPS leads outreach activity in  remote barangay

BESAO, Mountain Province (PIA)--The Besao Municipal Police Station(MPS) recently spearheaded a community outreach program thru medical mission, gift giving, feeding and information drive at Masameyeo in Gueday, a far-flung barangay in this town.

The Besao MPS headed by PCPT. Police Janice T. Pating in partnership with the local government unit through the Municipal Health Office, Treasure Link Cooperative Society and faith-based volunteers from Besao Evangelical Church provided health services and info drive on various programs last March 14 to learners, teachers, and parents.

Twenty-eight individuals submitted themselves for medical consultation, 21 for blood typing, 21 for urinalysis, and three for flouridization.

The team also conducted feeding activity and distributed of school supplies to the learners of Masameyeo Primary School.

For the info drive, Personnel of Besao MPS presented KASIMBAYANAN (Kapulisan, Simbahan, at Pamayanan) program of the PNP that promotes   unity and participation among the police, faith-based organizations and the general public in maintaining peace and order as well as the Anti Rape, Anti Terrorism and Anti-Illegal Drugs campaign of the government.

Ms Cristy Cogasi of Treasure Link discussed Financial Literacy while Sis. April Ganotisi of the Besao Evangelical Church held a bible story telling.  

Pating thanked their partners and stakeholders for the success of the activity.

“Iyaman isnan partners mi amed nan Besao LGU ya isnan stakeholders tako ay taga Treasure Link ya nan faith based volunteers isnan kanayun ay support da et dey gawis dadlu ta ma check up nan deyda kakailyan ay adi makaali asna sentro.. Situna nan kayten di government tako..to bring the government services closer to the people amed isnan dey da taga far flung barangay... Wasdi en SUMYA” (Thank you to our partners especially to Besao LGU, our stakeholders from Treasure Link and the faith based volunteers for your continuous support.  Though this, our community members who can not go to the town center were able to avail of your services. This is what the government wants - to bring the government services closer to the people especially those in the far-flung barangays.)

The Besao MPS aims to conduct outreach activity   in all schools in the municipality prioritizing the identified ELCAC barangays. (JDP/VJLT-PIA Mt. Province)
