TARLAC CITY (PIA) -- Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) officially opened the Tarlac Pasalubong Center at Magic Star Mall.
 
It features products of local entrepreneurs such as snacks, condiments and spices, baked products and delicacies as well as non-food products like gift items, fashion accessories, footwear, furniture and home furnishings. 
 
DTI OIC-Provincial Director Zaida Garibay commended the joint effort of about 17 entrepreneurs to establish the store.
 
“We are very much impressed with how empowered our entrepreneurs have become,” Garibay said. 
 
She acknowledged their courage for taking the challenge of operating another pasalubong shop to promote and market their goods. 
 
Garibay likewise lauded the mall management for its support and assistance to different projects of DTI for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).  “We are grateful that Magic Star Mall offered a strategic location for the MSMEs to showcase their products,” Garibay noted. 
 
The store is located at the basement level of the mall near its supermarket. (CLJD/TJBM-PIA 3)
