Isabela dad vows support to DILG’s anti-drug program

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) - - Vice Governor Faustino G. Dy III has expressed the support of the Provincial Government under the leadership of Gov. Rodolfo Albano III to the Department of the Interior and Local Government’s (DILG) Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan (BIDA) program.

Dy expressed his support during the visit of DILG Secretary Benhur Abalos on April 1, 2022 in the province during the launching of the BIDA program held in Cauayan City.

“Sa ngalan ng aming butihing Gov. Rodito Albano III, kami po ay taos-pusong nagpapasalamt na binigyan ninyo ng oras at pagkakataon na makaharap ang aning mamamayn sa lalawigan ng Isabela, Dy said during his meeting of Sec. Abalos with the Isabela officials and local chief executives.

Dy said the drug problem of the country is a huge challenge for all LGU officials as he challenged the municipal and city chief excutives to make their respective places a drug-cleared localities.

He also called on all Isabelenos to cooperate in the fight against illegal drugs and report to the authorities any person who are involved on illegal drug activities for appropriate actions.

Dy said that the province has now only three barangays out of the 1,018 barangays of Isabela that are not cleared hoping that in the next few days or weeks, the province will already be declared drug-free.

“Tatlo na lamang pong barangay ang hindi drug-free. Makakaasa po kayo na pagtulong-tulungan natin lalo na sa mga barangay officials para matiyak na magiging 100% drug-free ang probinsiya,“ Dy said. (OTB/MGE / PIA Isabela)
