QUEZON CITY, (PIA) --The Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) Execom has chosen Dolly Earnshaw de Leon, an internationally acclaimed Filipino film, television, and theater actress as Jury Chair of the 1st Summer MMFF.

Known for her excellence and integrity as an artist and as a person,.

Dolly is best known for her roles in the films Verdict, Historya ni Ha, and gained international recognition for the Palme d'Or-winning Triangle of Sadness. For her performance in Triangle of Sadness, she became the first Filipino actor to be nominated at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) and Golden Globe Awards.

In May 2022, de Leon signed with U.S.-based artist agency Fusion Entertainment, and she has lined up a string of internation films among them “Grand Death Lotto," directed by Paul Feig, is led by John Cena, Awkwafina and Simu Liu.

A FAMAS Award and LA Film Critics Award winner, de Leon has an extensive stage experience and a Bachelor of Arts in theater arts from the University of the Philippines. She is also a trained actress who has been in more than 30 stage productions and won numerous awards for her performances. In 2023, British Vogue listed de Leon among "30 of the world's most famous stars."

Miss Dolly de Leon will head a group of very credible jury members who be named along with the winners Tuesday  at the Gabi Ng Parangal at 8:00 pm telecast on OnePH with a delayed telecast on TV5 at 10:45 pm. (mmda/pia-ncr)
